Join us on Sunday October 1st 2017 to kick off Autism Awareness Month and get Active for Autism!
ASNL provides individuals of all ages a place to socialize, learn, and feel safe. Contributions from the community are used for the many programs and services we offer at our centres in St. John’s, Clarenville, Grand Falls-Windsor and Corner Brook. Our Parent Support Groups in many areas of the province also benefit from the generous support we receive from the community.
Please note a change in the registration process for our Avalon Region walk from previous years. We are delighted to see how much Active for Autism has grown, the support our community shows is outstanding. However, this growth has made the morning registration process quite hectic for families, particularly those coming with kids on the autism spectrum. Waiting in line, large crowds and general hustle and bustle can be really overwhelming, which is why this year the registration process is as follows:
Registration is open now and can be done online or in person at The Elaine Dobbin Centre until Saturday, September 30th at promptly 12pm. Any donations not submitted by then will not go towards your individual/team totals announced Sunday at the event. There will be family entertainment and activities from 9am-10:15am. At 10:30am we will all walk around the pond together and get Active for Autism!
Registration hours for the week of September 25th-September 30th at the centre are as follows:
Monday 9am – 3:30pm
Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 9am – 7:30pm
Friday 9am – 6pm
Saturday 10am – 12pm
Register yourself or create a team now to start fundraising online; you can share your own personalised fundraising page on Facebook, Twitter, your website, or by email!
Registration is $25.
With your help, we can continue to help the many participants and families affected by autism spectrum disorder throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. Thank you so much for your support!
The Active for Autism Walk/Run will be taking place at all four of our regional offices, as well as other areas across the province.
Dates, times and locations for events all across the province vary and are being added daily. For more information and to register online today please choose a location below.
