Active for Autism 2020 – #WalkTheRock

Active for Autism occurs every year in October during Autism Awareness Month. This event encourages families and friends to get together, get active, and raise funds and awareness for ASNL. Although this year we may not be able to walk together in person, we are looking forward to continuing to host one of our favourite events of the year- virtually!

The Autism Society, Newfoundland Labrador (ASNL) is dedicated to promoting the development of individual, lifelong, and community-based supports and services for people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), their families, and caregivers. Contributions from #WalkTheRock are used  to support programs, supports and services across the province; donations will support Family Support Groups, community-based and pre-employment programs, community engagement and advocacy.

How do we #WalkTheRock?

Register yourself or create a team now to start fundraising online; you can share your own personalized fundraising page on Facebook, Twitter, your website, or by email! How can I track/log my KMs?

You have two options:

  1. Use the hashtag #WalkTheRock on social media and/or tag us in your posts along with the amount of KMs you have walked.
  2. Fill out the form below every time you #WalkTheRock and we will add them to our master total.

We will select winners throughout the month of October for those who tracked their KMs!

Each week we will update our virtual map to see just how far we can make it across Newfoundland and Labrador. Every little step helps!

With your help, we can continue to help the many participants and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. Thank you so much for your support!
