The Elaine Dobbin Centre for Autism, located in St. John’s, is the Provincial Headquarters for satellite offices found in Clarenville, Grand Falls-Windsor and Corner Brook. The Centre offers a range of programming for all ages and abilities including social skill development, life skills, pre-employment and career services, and community recreation.. Outreach initiatives from this location include community awareness, conferences, and professional development for service providers and educators and houses the Barbara J. Hopkins Library and the Pantry Cafe & Catering. This location is the hub for province-wide advocacy campaigns, government lobbying and community outreach as well as the the organization’s revenue development operations. Located in Clarenville, this office provides limited on-site programming for various ages and abilities as well as outreach services for communities as far west as Glovertown, as far east as Normans Cove, all of the Clarenville area and the Burin and Bonavista Peninsulas. Outreach includes community awareness sessions, professional development and workshops. For families, the office provides Parent Support Groups, Sibling Workshops, family events, and community recreation opportunities. Staff are available for family and individual consultations or to provide support through the ISSP/IEP process, life transitions, employee/employer support, and more.
