Information for Fall Programming

Information about Fall programming went out last week. All families should have recieved it, or will recieve it shortly.
One error that we wanted to point out was the start date for fall programming. On the letter we identified Tuesday, September 13th as the start of Fall programming. This day is actually a Monday. So the the first day of Fall Semester is Monday, September 13, 2010.
The deadline for submitting Schedules of Availability is Tuesday, August 31st.
See everyone in September!
August 16, 2010
The Autism community was saddened to learn of the passing, a few weeks back of Dr. Ivar Lovaas, a Norwegian psychologist, who devoted his life to helping children with autism and their families. Dr. Lovaas worked out of the University of California.
Applied Behavioural Analysis, an intensive early intervention behavioual treatment program, developed by him is used widely, including in this province.
The Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador sends its condolences to the family, friends and collegues of Dr. Lovaas.
